The Reach RS2 is a multi-frequency RTK receiver with a high price/performance ratio.
It tracks the GPS/QZSS L1/L2C, GLONASS L1/L2, GALILEO E1/E5b, and BEIDOU B1/B2 constellations.
The Reach RS2 can operate in RTK on baselines of up to 60km, and up to 100km in PPK. The integrated antenna, with its multi-path filter, offers an appreciable robustness even in difficult environments.
The Reach RS2 has many features: point collection, location, RTK base mode, raw data logging. RINEX logs are compatible with RinexLab, our PPK calculation interface, so you can get centimetric coordinates in post-processing anywhere in the world. In RTK, corrections can be obtained via NTRIP by inserting a SIM card into the built-in 3.5G modem, so you don’t need to use data from your smartphone. In white areas, corrections can be transmitted and received within a radius of 8km by radio using the LoRa antenna supplied.
The Reach RS2 is designed to be waterproof and impact resistant. Its impact resistant polycarbonate shell is covered with a special elastomer for extra protection. The receiver has a 5/8” screw thread in accordance with industry standards. The Reach RS2’s LiFePO4 battery has a charge designed for 16 hours of RTK operation and 22 hours of logging. Charging of the receiver is via a wall-mounted USB charger or via USB-C.
The various output streams, RS-232, Bluetooth, WiFi, allow the Reach RS2 to be connected to external equipment and to broadcast a position frame in NMEA format.
The Reach RS2 comes with the free iOS/Android ReachView application, which allows you to control all the device’s functionalities: create projects, collect and implement points, import and export geographic data in standard formats such as CSV, DXF, ShapeFile…
